Thank you for following up and for your interest!
To ensure overall stability and hardware compatibility, application package releases in the App Center must follow our established testing roadmap and release schedule step by step. Once the adaptation and validation process is complete, we will roll out updates as planned.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Dear TerraMaster Team,
I would like to share a constructive thought without criticizing the work you do. I apologize in advance if any part of this message could be misunderstood; my intention is simply to contribute to improving the overall user experience for the benefit of the entire community.
Many users, including myself, moved to version 12.0 as early as September 8, 2026. We are therefore currently using a version that works reasonably well but still presents some issues that are typical of an initial release. I fully understand the importance of thoroughly testing system stability and behavior. However, while version 12.1 is being tested, version 12.2 is released, and the testing cycle begins again.
Many customers purchase a TerraMaster NAS partly because of the applications available for it. For this reason, I would like to respectfully suggest establishing and following a consistent update policy for all apps.
For example, for an application such as Jellyfin — although the same principle could apply to any other app — users could be informed that updates are generally expected within 30 days. This would strengthen customer confidence, as it would demonstrate that TerraMaster has a dedicated team focused on both its products and its users.
When more than 30 days pass without any update or communication, particularly when the update has been requested by many users, customers may feel uncertain and may check the App Center daily without knowing whether a new version will actually be released. This uncertainty can lead to questions such as: “Did I make the right choice?”
Would it be possible to introduce a dedicated “Pre-release Versions” section directly within the NAS interface, similar to the approach used by companies such as Apple and Google? Even if an application is not yet ready for public release, this section could provide users with useful information, such as:
which applications are expected to receive an update;
the expected version number (for example, 12.1 or 12.2);
an estimated release date.
Naturally, the stability, security, and integrity of the NAS must always remain the highest priority. Nevertheless, more transparent and predictable communication would significantly improve user confidence and satisfaction, while also offering a level of service that could distinguish TerraMaster from other companies.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I wish you continued success with your work.
Kind regards, Riccobono Cesare
