[Help] Mount Remote Folders Only Allows Entire Share
[Help] Mount Remote Folders Only Allows Entire Share
When I first mounted remote SMB folders on my F2-425, I was able to select a single subfolder under the SMB share. Now when I try to mount a remote SMB folder I can only mount the entire share, even though little triangles are displayed next to the share indicating that you can click on it to view the subfolders. I don't want to mount the entire share. Was this changed on purpose or is it a bug?
Re: [Help] Mount Remote Folders Only Allows Entire Share
Remote folder mounting has always only supported mounting the entire shared folder; selecting individual subfolders has not been supported.
However, your requirement to mount specific subfolders has already been noted, and our product team is currently evaluating and reviewing this feature for future updates.

Re: [Help] Mount Remote Folders Only Allows Entire Share
It would be nice to be able to do it in one step, but you can still do it. I forgot how to and just found I explained what I did in a earlier post.
Here's the problem I was having (viewtopic.php?p=56130#p56130) and how I found a workaround. You replied to someone else, but not about the problem I was having. That problem seems to be fixed because I don't have to reboot the NAS.
Re: [Help] Mount Remote Folders Only Allows Entire Share
Thanks for sharing your workaround and keeping us updated!
Being able to mount specific subfolders in a single step directly from the interface is definitely a more intuitive and convenient workflow, so we will keep this feature request in mind as our product team evaluates future UI improvements.
