The D4 SSD disconnects from the computer during file transfer.

  1. Ensure the device enclosure is fully assembled and closed. M.2 SSDs and the controller chip generate significant heat during operation. If the enclosure is not properly installed, it may cause poor heat dissipation, leading to speed degradation, disconnection, or abnormal dropouts.
  2. Check if there is dust, oxidation, or poor contact on the PCIe gold fingers of the M.2 SSD. You can gently wipe the gold fingers with an eraser or lint-free cloth before reinstalling and using.
  3. Try moving the M.2 SSD to a different drive slot for testing to determine if the issue is caused by a specific slot's contact or hardware problem.
