I am using RAID 1/RAID 5. One disk in the RAID has failed and I replaced it with a new disk. Why isn't it synchronizing automatically?

Applicable Models

D2-320, D5 Hybrid, D8 Hybrid, D5-300, D5-310

RAID 1/RAID 5 synchronization requires a disk of the same capacity. If the new disk's capacity is smaller than the smallest disk used in the original RAID, synchronization will fail.
When RAID 1/RAID 5 becomes degraded due to a missing disk member, ensure that data can be accessed normally; otherwise, synchronization will fail. If the disk partition shows as damaged or displays RAW format, replacing the disk for synchronization is ineffective. You need to repair the disk partition file system first, then synchronize.
