Two drives form RAID 1, and the device occasionally emits a humming/vibrating sound. I want to verify if there is a bad drive.

Applicable Models

D2-310

  1. In RAID 1 mode, if a single hard drive fails or the RAID 1 array becomes degraded, the corresponding slot indicator will flash red. If a red light is found, simply replace the failed hard drive with a new one.
  2. After RAID 1 is set up, although third-party tools can be used for simple detection of hard drive health status, the accuracy of the results is limited. If you already have data backup, you may consider splitting the RAID array and connecting one of the hard drives to another device for detection using disk utility tools, which will yield more accurate results. If the data is important, this approach is not recommended.
