Windows does not recognize the disk; fan spins and stops immediately after pressing the power button; screen only displays the Cliq icon with no further response.
Applicable Models
D4-320
Possible causes and solutions are as follows:
- This commonly occurs when no USB or hard drive is connected. To reduce power consumption, the device will automatically enter standby mode when no connection or hard drive is present, and the fan will spin briefly and then stop. This is normal, as the fan and indicator lights only run continuously when the hard drives are recognized by the system. Please connect the USB cable and install the hard drives before powering on.
- Hard drive tray not fully inserted If the tray is not pushed in tightly, it may cause startup anomalies and incorrect fan operation. Please manually press the tray inward to ensure the latch is locked. Refer to the official guide for installation instructions: https://support.terra-master.com/quickguide/
- USB cable compatibility issues Some cables may have impedance mismatches with the computer's USB-C port, potentially causing communication interruptions and fan stoppage. It is recommended to replace the cable or try a different USB-C port.
