- Prioritize using the device's original USB cable, or replace it with another reliable cable.
- Ensure you are connected to a USB 3.0/3.1 high-speed port on your computer (prefer rear ports), or switch to another port for testing.
- If using a USB hub or docking station, try connecting the device directly to a USB port on the computer's motherboard.
- Go to the computer brand's official website or the motherboard manufacturer's official website to install the dedicated USB driver.
- Insert a known-good hard drive into the device and observe whether the I/O error still occurs, to determine if the original hard drive is faulty.
